Head, Motor Transport
and Spare Parts Section
|
UNRWA has 842 vehicles
consisting of passenger and freight vehicles operating in the five fields.
This Section ensures that old and unserviceable vehicles are replaced in
time. Every year, 40-50 vehicles need replacement. Consequently, this
Section is responsible for all administrative and budget provisions
relating to the vehicle replacement programme. It also controls the
accounting and statistics, the
maintenance, and repair costs of the Agency’s fleet.

The Motor Transport and Spare Parts Section
purchases a number of vehicles every year, mostly directly from the
manufacturers. Since this Section is technically responsible for all
five UNRWA workshops in the areas of operations, there are opportunities
for suppliers of spare parts, tools and services.
