Camilla E. SchippaChief of OfficeMs. Schippa advises and assists the Executive Director in managing the US$1 billion partnership between the United Nations and Mr. Ted Turner's UN Foundation and in overseeing the activities of the recently established UN Democracy Fund. She helps guide the development of high impact public-private partnerships in support of the Millennium Development Goals and has contributed to the creation of numerous strategic alliances with corporations, foundations and philanthropists. Ms. Schippa manages the day-to-day activities of the Front Office and is the focal point for public affairs and external relations. Prior to joining UNFIP, she worked in the Department of Public Information of the United Nations focusing on media relations. Before joining the United Nations, Ms. Schippa held the position of Assistant Researcher in the Department of International Economics at the Norges Handels Hoyskolen in Bergen, Norway. From 1994 to 1995, she led an Ethno-Anthropological field research in South-East Kenya. Ms. Schippa, a Swedish national, holds a Master degree summa cum laude in International Political Sciences from the University of Perugia, Italy. |
