The Library
of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC)
is located at the United Nations building in Santiago, Chile. The
Library was established in 1948 to provide specialized information
services on the economic and social development of Latin America
and the Caribbean, in accordance with the programme of work of the
Commission.
The Library collections focus on ECLAC
documentation, governmental publications, United Nations publications.
Subject
scope: economic and social information: agriculture, economic and
social planning, economic development, environment and natural resources,
international trade, population, social development, technological
and business development, transport, women, childhood and youth.
