VALLEVERDE PROVIDES SHOES FOR UNITED NATIONS TOUR GUIDES

Valleverde, the famous Italian footwear company well-known for combining elegance and comfort, has had the honour of designing and donating shoes to complement the new uniforms worn by the United Nations tour guides in New York and Geneva.

In designing and creating the shoes, two aspects were particularly important: fashion and comfort. The shoes were conceived to match the uniforms and to be fashionable and formal, respecting the role of United Nations tour guides as "ambassadors to the public". In addition, special attention was paid to comfort, as the guides spend most of their working hours on their feet.

This prestigious achievement reflected the participation of all of Valleverde's employees. Their enthusiasm and hard work yielded the creation of shoes that perfectly meet the needs of the United Nations tour guides. The collaboration took place between the design department, composed of specialized shoemakers, and the department of medical experts, whose podiatrists regularly verify that the anatomy of the foot is being taken into consideration.

The ladies' shoes created for the United Nations guides are medium-heel black pumps, made of smooth calfskin. These shoes are particularly soft and have a plantar that ensures comfort. The shoes for the male guides are black lace, with a special trimming on the toe. The sole is made of leather and rubber.

Valleverde hopes that by providing the United Nations tour guides with comfortable shoes it will be easier for the guides to carry out their important task of informing the visitors about the daily work of the United Nations.
