Hours

Guided Tours are conducted Monday through Friday from 9:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Tours last approximately 45 minutes.

A limited number of tickets are available each day to the public. Tickets may be sold out early in the day, and delays may occur on busy days. Due to high level meetings of Heads of State and Government, United Nations Headquarters may sometimes close to the public on very short notice. We regret any inconvenience and wish to assure you that we will do everything possible to reschedule reservations resulting from such closure.

Directions

The United Nations Headquarters in New York is located on First Avenue between 42nd Street and 48th Street.

The Visitors' Entrance is located on First Avenue at 46th Street. As the United Nations does not offer parking facilities, it is suggested that public transportation be used.

Subway: number 4,5,6 or 7 trains to Grand Central Station; walk on 42nd Street to First Avenue.

Buses: M15, M27, M42, or M104.

Individual tickets have to be purchased at the United Nations on the day of your visit. No tickets can be purchased online.

One complimentary ticket is issued for every 20 tickets purchased.

Please note that the following dates are no longer available for groups who want to make a reservation:

Age Limit

For safety reasons, children under age 5 are not admitted on tour.

The availability of language tours changes every day. Please call (212) 963-7539 on the day you plan to visit to confirm that the language you need is offered on that day. Language tours are scheduled for a specific time, although, small time variations may occur.
