Preparing Written Applications

This popular session reviews, in great detail, how to effectively complete the UN Personal History Profile (PHP). Special emphasis is given to matching your background to the vacancy announcement, drafting powerful duties and achievements, and writing strong cover notes.

Effective Job Interviewing

Attend our one day Effective Interviewing workshop to learn about the concept of competency/behavioral interviewing and practice how to answer questions clearly and concisely. Tips on non-verbals, preparing for your interview, and handling panel and phone interviews, are also reviewed, Consistently popular, this full day workshop fills quickly! A half day, accelerated version is also offered.

Information Session on Staff Selection

Learn more about the Secretariat's policy on staff selection through a presentation by a professional UN staffing officer, and ask questions or clarify issues of interest. These sessions are held through your local Career Resource Centre multiples times a year.
