IYSPE Sports Events Calendar

The activities dedicated to the celebration of International Year of Sport and Physical Education 2005 (existing events, campaigns or communication strategies) will adopt the IYSPE 2005 imagery and further support the achievement of social, economic and human development and peace goals.

A number of events are being planned to provide a forum for international discussion and raise awareness about the convening power of sport and the importance of sport for all including: Sport and environment, sport and health, sport and peace, sport and education, sport and development, sport and gender.
