Conference on South-South Cooperation, 16 - 19 December 2003, Marrakech

The High-level Conference on South-South Cooperation was held in Marrakech, Morocco, from 16 to 19 December 2003. It adopted the Marrakech Declaration and the Framework of Implementation of South-South Cooperation. The Conference stressed that the implementation of South-South Cooperation depends upon its adequate integration in national, sub-regional and regional as well as international cooperation policies and strategies. The Conference also agreed with the implementation of various measures and initiatives. The Declaration and the Framework of Implementation of South-South Cooperation gave special attention to the issues of LDCs, LLDCs and SIDS.
