Registration for the International Meeting Below you will find information on how non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and other major groups can participate in the International Meeting to review the implementation of the Programme of Action for the Sustainable Development of Small Island Developing States, to be held in Mauritius from 10-14 January 2005. Information Briefing The Secretariat will hold an informational briefing for major groups' participants to the International Meeting on Sunday, 9 January 2005 at (time and venue to be confirmed). Inside the UN Conference Centre Each registered
NGO representative will receive one individual
grounds pass to allow his or her access to the
Conference Centre during the International Meeting. Representatives
of NGOs and other major groups who have obtained
a UN grounds pass for the International Meeting
can leave the Conference Centre and re-enter at
any time. Participation Preliminary draft information on possible entry points for major groups' participation in the International Meeting can be found here. Major groups representatives are invited to work through issue-based caucuses, each major group sector and the regional networks, and identify representatives from each sector who wish to participate in a given session. Names of representatives should be communicated to the Secretariat at or prior to the morning's coordination meeting in the major groups room. Civil Society Forum A Civil Society Forum will be held from 6-9 January 2005 at the Freeport Exhibition Centre. The Civil Society Forum is not part of the official International Meeting, and therefore is open to participation by all NGOs and other major groups.
