The Secretary-General welcomes the holding of the legislative elections in Côte d'Ivoire and commends the people of Côte d'Ivoire for the generally calm and orderly manner in which they exercised their right to vote. This election is an important step towards the full restoration of constitutional order in Côte d'Ivoire, and should contribute to national reconciliation in the country.
The Secretary-General congratulates the Ivorian Independent Electoral Commission and the national and international partners that contributed to the organization and conduct of this election. He calls on the people of Côte d'Ivoire and all parties and candidates to preserve the existing peaceful atmosphere as the tallying of votes is underway, and to resolve any disputes through the established legal channels.
The Secretary-General reiterates the continued commitment of the United Nations to support the full completion of the electoral process, including through the certification mandate of his Special Representative.

sur les élections législatives en Côte d'Ivoire
Le Secrétaire général salue la tenue des élections législatives en Côte d'Ivoire et félicite les Ivoiriens pour la façon pacifique et ordonnée avec laquelle ils ont exercé leur droit de vote. Cette élection est une étape importante vers la pleine restauration de l'ordre constitutionnel en Côte d' Ivoire, et devrait contribuer à la réconciliation nationale dans le pays.
Le Secrétaire général félicite également la Commission électorale indépendante ivoirienne ainsi que tous les partenaires nationaux et internationaux ayant contribué à l'organisation et à la bonne conduite du scrutin. Il invite les Ivoiriens, les partis ainsi que les candidats à ?uvrer à préserver une atmosphère paisible durant le décompte des voix, et à résoudre tout différend par le biais des mécanismes légaux en vigueur.
Le Secrétaire général réitère l'engagement continu des Nations Unies à accompagner le processus électoral jusqu'à son aboutissement, y compris à travers le mandat de certification de son Représentant spécial.
