The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Yousef Bin Al-Alawi Bin Abdulla, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman on 2 October 2015.

The Secretary-General thanked the Foreign Minister for Oman's generous contribution that will allow for the UN's audio-visual archives to be digitized.

The Secretary-General and the Minister discussed the critical situation in Yemen.  The Secretary-General thanked the Government of Oman for its constructive role in helping resolve the conflict and for collaborating closely and constructively with his Special Envoy for Yemen.

The Secretary-General and the Minister also discussed recent developments in the Middle East Peace Process and Syria.
