The Secretary-General met on 7 August 2015 with H.E. Andrés Navarro García, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic. The Secretary-General and Mr. Navarro also discussed issues related to citizenship rights, migration, and the protection of human rights. 

The Secretary-General also congratulated the Dominican Government on its leadership in the field of education and commended the active role of the Dominican Republic in the field of South-South cooperation.
