Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with Ivica Dacic, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and Chairperson-in-Office (CiO) of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE)

The Secretary-General today met with H.E. Ivica Dacic, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, in his capacity as Chairperson-in-Office (CiO) of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). Mr. Dacic will brief the Security Council tomorrow, 24 February 2015, on the Serbian OSCE Chairmanship’s priorities and the OSCE’s cooperation with the United Nations.

The Secretary-General and Mr. Dacic discussed the UN-OSCE partnership as well as the situations in Ukraine, Nagorno-Karabakh and the Balkans. The Secretary-General expressed his commitment to supporting the OSCE’s efforts in Ukraine and to strengthening the UN-OSCE partnership.
