The Secretary-General met today with the Secretary General of the League of Arab States, H.E. Dr. Nabil El-Araby.

The Secretaries-General reviewed the continued cooperation between the United Nations and League of Arab States and exchanged views on Libya, Yemen, Syria, the Middle East Peace Process, the situation in the Gaza Strip and other regional issues. They also focused on strengthening international counter-terrorism efforts. 

The Secretary-General and Dr. Nabil El-Araby agreed to remain in close touch on the issues of concern to both Organisations.
