The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Fidel Castro Ruz, the former President of Cuba, today.

They discussed key topics affecting the international community, including Syria, the Central African Republic, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

They also discussed food security and nuclear proliferation as well as the Millennium Development Goals, sustainable development  and climate change.
