The Secretary-General met today in Paris with H.E. President Pierre Nkurunziza of the Republic of Burundi, on the margins of the Elysée Summit for Peace and Security in Africa.

They discussed the situation in Somalia. The Secretary-General thanked Burundi for its commitment to the peace process in Somalia.

They also discussed the situation in Burundi, including the preparations for the elections in 2015, and the future of United Nations engagement in the country.
