Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. John Key, Prime Minister of New Zealand

The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. John Key, Prime Minister of New Zealand. 

They discussed issues concerning recent developments in Syria as well as the transition in Fiji and the strengthening of the partnership between the United Nations and the Pacific Islands Forum. 

The Secretary-General welcomed New Zealand’s commitment to subjects related to climate change, global peace and security and to the development challenges of small island states.
