Readout of the Secretary-General's telephone call with H.E. Mr. François Hollande, President of France

The Secretary-General spoke by telephone today with H.E. Mr. François Hollande, President of France.

They discussed developments in the Central African Republic, Mali and Syria.

On the Central African Republic, the Secretary-General expressed his concern for the safety of civilians as well as UN staff based in the country. 

On Mali, the Secretary-General said he would soon submit a report to the Security Council. He personally reiterated his condolences to the President for the French losses in Mali.
