The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Thorbjørn Jagland, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, and Mr. Jean-Claude Mignon, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

On the occasion of the first World Forum for Democracy, they exchanged views on possibilities to strengthen further cooperation between the two Organisations on democracy as well as developments in the Middle East and North Africa. They also discussed access to asylum and the situation of Roma and minorities in Europe.

They also considered developments in Western Balkans.
