The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.


They discussed the situation in Syria and issues concerning the Rohingya community in Myanmar.


The Secretary-General appreciated the efforts of the OIC in forging a peaceful political solution to the Syrian crisis. He indicated the importance of the situation in Rakhine being treated carefully because of the potential wider implications of the Rakhine issue on the overall reform process in Myanmar as well as on other countries.
