The Secretary-General met today with His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The Secretary-General and His Majesty discussed Jordan’s engagement on the Middle East peace process and other developments in the region.

The Secretary-General expressed his deep concern at the humanitarian impact of the Syrian crisis on neighbouring countries including Jordan.  He praised the generous assistance provided by the Jordanian people and Government to the Syrian refugees and extended the support of the United Nations and its partners.
