The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Freundel Stuart, Prime Minister of Barbados, on the margins of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro. The Secretary-General and Prime Minister Stuart discussed the sustainable development agenda and UN-Barbados cooperation. In the course of the meeting, the Prime Minister presented the Secretary-General with the Barbados Declaration on Achieving Sustainable Energy for All in Small Island Developing States.
