The Secretary-General met today with Dr. Satya Paul Agarwal, Secretary General of the Indian Red Cross Society.
 
The Secretary-General commended the important role the Indian Red Cross Society plays in promoting humanitarian principles and in undertaking life-saving action.
 
They also discussed the organization’s cooperation with the international community. The Secretary-General encouraged the Red Cross Society to share its best practices in disaster risk reduction, preparedness and response.
