The Secretary-General met today with the French Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, H.E. Mr. Alain Juppé.

 During their meeting, they focussed on the situation in Syria. The Secretary-General said the top priority was to stop the violence and establish humanitarian access. He said all relevant UN agencies were coordinating efforts ready to provide humanitarian help to the people of Syria.

 They also discussed Lebanon and Senegal.
