Readout of the Secretary-General's meeting with H.E. Mr. Mwai Kibaki, President of the Republic of Kenya, on the margins of the AU Summit

The Secretary-General met today with the President of the Republic of Kenya, H.E. Mr. Mwai Kibaki.
They discussed developments in Somalia, including support to the TFG and AMISOM, as well as efforts to combat piracy off the coast of Somalia. The Secretary-General expressed his gratitude to President Kibaki's Government for hosting a large number of refugees from Somalia. The Secretary-General also discussed the security situation at the Dadaab Camp.
The Secretary-General and President Kibaki also discussed other developments in the sub-region, including South Sudan.
