The Secretary-General met separately today with H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates.

In both meetings, the Secretary-General discussed sustainable development and in particular sustainable energy. He thanked the Government and people of Abu Dhabi for hosting the World Future Energy Summit and the Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency, and for supporting United Nations activities.

The Secretary-General's discussions also covered the Middle East Peace Process, Syria, Iran, Yemen and Iraq.
