The Secretary-General met today with the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Meles Zenawi. They discussed the situation in Somalia and the humanitarian situation in the Horn of Africa.

They talked about the situation in Libya, following the Secretary-General's recent visit to the country, and exchanged views on the security implications for the region.

The Secretary-General and the Prime Minister also discussed innovative sources of financing for development and the need to to keep promises regarding climate change financing.
