The Secretary-General today met with His Royal Highness Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia.

The Secretary-General and the Foreign Minister exchanged views on a number of important issues in the region, including Yemen. They welcomed the establishment of the UN counter-terrorism centre.

The Secretary-General thanked Saudi Arabia for its generous humanitarian funding, including its contribution to Somalia through the World Health Organization and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
