The Secretary-General met today, 23 September 2011, with H.E. Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. He stated his appreciation for Bangladesh's active role in the areas of sustainable development and peacekeeping.
They exchanged views on the situation in Bangladesh ahead of the 2013 elections and social, economic and development issues. He also inquired about the status of minorities in Bangladesh.
