NARRATIVE SUMMARIES OF REASONS FOR LISTING
In accordance with paragraph 13 of resolution 1822 (2008), the Al-Qaida/Taliban Sanctions Committee makes accessible a narrative summary of reasons for the listing for individuals, groups, undertakings and entities included in the Consolidated List.I. Scope of information provided by the narrative summaries
The narrative summaries are based on information available to the designating State(s) and/or members of the Committee at the time of the listing, including the statement of case, coversheet or any other official information provided to the Committee, or any relevant information available publicly from official sources, or any other information provided by the designating State(s) or Committee members.
Each narrative summary includes the date of listing, basis for listing according to relevant resolutions adopted by the Security Council as well as, as appropriate, any other relevant information available after the date of listing that would be provided when conducting the review of the same name(s) pursuant to paragraph 25 of resolution 1822 (2008) and the names and reference number(s) of other entries on the List associated with the listed party. The information contained in each narrative summary is presented as much as possible in chronological order. The date on which the narrative summary is made accessible on the Committee’s website is also specified in the document containing the summary.
II. Composition of the Narrative Summaries
The narrative summaries have been prepared with the assistance of the Monitoring Team in coordination with the relevant designating States. In order to facilitate searches for a specific narrative summary, the narrative summaries have been grouped according to the corresponding sections of the Consolidated List. In other words, the order of the narrative summaries is as follows:- Individuals associated with the Taliban (permanent reference numbers starting with TI);
- Entities and other groups and undertakings associated with the Taliban (permanent reference numbers starting with TE);
- Individuals associated with Al-Qaida (permanent reference numbers starting with QI);
- Entities and other groups and undertakings associated with Al-Qaida (permanent reference numbers starting with QE).
