Wan Min Wan Mat was listed on 9 September 2003 pursuant to paragraphs 1 and 2 of resolution 1390 (2002) as being associated with Al-Qaida, Usama bin Laden or the Taliban for “participating in the financing, planning, facilitating, preparing, or perpetrating of acts or activities by, in conjunction with, under the name of, on behalf of, or in support of” Jemaah Islamiyah (QDe.092).

Additional information:

Wan Min Wan Mat was a financier and acted as treasurer for Jemaah Islamiyah (QDe.092). He was involved in the preparation of the 12 October 2002 Bali Bombings that killed 202 people.

In 2002, he transferred between $15,000 and $35,000 in cash to Mukhlas, listed as Huda bin Abdul Haq (deceased), the leader of the cell that perpetrated the Bali bombings.

Wan Min Wan Mat was arrested by Malaysian police on 27 September 2002 and detained under the Internal Security Act of Malaysia until 21 March 2005.
