Youssef Mustapha Nada Ebada was listed on 9 November 2001 pursuant to paragraph 8 (c) of resolution 1333 (2000), as being associated with the organization of Al-Qaida (QE.A.4.01) for “participating in the financing, planning, facilitating, preparing, or perpetrating of acts or activities by, in conjunction with, under the name of, on behalf or in support of” this organization.

Additional information:

Youssef Mustapha Nada Ebada (QI.E.53.01) (Youssef Nada) financed terrorism through an extensive financial network providing support for terrorist-related activities, including those undertaken by Usama bin Laden (QI.B.8.01) and the organization of Al-Qaida (QE.A.4.01).

Youssef Nada, together with Ali Ghaleb Himmat (QI.H.43.01), was among the founding members and principals of Nada Management Organization SA (QE.N.58.01), which was created in late 1980s and changed its name in the spring of 2000 from the Al Taqwa Management Organization.

Youssef Nada was also a founder and director of Bank Al Taqwa Limited (QE.B.34.01), a close affiliate of Nada Management Organization SA. Bank Al Taqwa Limited was established in 1988 in the Bahamas and provided investment advice and cash transfer mechanisms for Al-Qaida.

As of October 2000, Bank Al Taqwa Limited provided a clandestine line of credit to a close associate of Usama bin Laden. As of late September 2001, Youssef Nada provided financial assistance to Usama bin Laden and the organization of Al-Qaida.

As of August 2002, Youssef Nada was one of the principals of two other related Taqwa entities, Ba Taqwa for Commerce and Real Estate Company Limited (QE.B.76.02.) and Nada International Anstalt (QE.N.79.02).
