The UN's Global Teaching and Learning Project wishes to thank its generous donor, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, for providing funding for this project.

We are also deeply grateful to the many volunteers all over the world (below) who brought to our attention many of the activists and groups profiled in the Global Atlas.

This complex project was coordinated by Mitch Stripling (editorial) and Susanna Hobrath (web), who catalogued an avalanche of information patiently and with inspiring cheer.

We are indebted to human rights education expert Nancy Flowers for her tirelessness, great goodwill, and wisdom as she compiled for us the activities and lesson plans in the Atlas.
