CLASSROOM GUIDELINES

What kind of behaviours will result in a respectful and productive learning environment? Below are some suggestions. Can you think of others?


· Participate as you feel comfortable.

· It's OK to not understand everything. Asking questions is encouraged.

· Encourage others to be open and honest.

· Speak for yourself -- use "I" statements.

· Don't put others on the spot. Don't ask one person to speak for an entire group.

· Acknowledge other people's experiences.

· Respect the confidentiality of everyone in the room.
