Secretary-General Condemns Terrorist Attack in Finland

The following statement was issued today by the Spokesman for UN Secretary-General António Guterres:

The Secretary-General condemns the terrorist attack in Turku, Finland, on 18 August.  He extends his heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Finland and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.

The United Nations stands in solidarity with the Government of Finland in its fight against terrorism and violent extremism.
