Condemning ‘Brutal Killing’ of Boris Nemtsov, Secretary-General Expects Perpetrators Will Be Promptly Brought to Justice

The following statement was issued today by the Spokesman for UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon:

The Secretary-General was shocked by and condemns the brutal killing of Boris Nemtsov in Moscow on 27 February.  The Secretary-General notes that an investigation into this murder has been announced, and he expects the perpetrators to be brought to justice swiftly.

The Secretary-General wishes to express his deepest condolences to Mr. Nemtsov’s family, friends and supporters.
