Security Council Sanctions Committee Concerning South Sudan Meets with Coordinator of Panel of Experts on Panel’s Interim Report

On 20 August 2015, members of the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 2206 (2015) concerning South Sudan were briefed by the Coordinator of the Panel of Experts on South Sudan in connection with the Panel’s interim report, which was submitted in pursuance of paragraph 18 (d) of the resolution (and issued on 24 August as document S/2015/656).

During the consultations, the Chair, who subsequently briefed the Security Council on 25 August regarding the Committee’s consideration of the report and its recommendations, expressed his intention to visit South Sudan during the month of November 2015.
