Special Adviser to Arrive in Myanmar 11 May for Three-Day Visit

 


The following statement was issued today by the Spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon:


The Special Adviser to the Secretary-General for Myanmar, Vijay Nambiar, is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday in Myanmar for a three-day visit at the invitation of the Government.  The Special Adviser will hold meetings in Naypyitaw and Yangon with the newly installed Government of Myanmar, political parties, civil society organizations and other key interlocutors, in the implementation of the Secretary-General’s good offices mandate.
