Security Council Committee on Liberia Revises Its Guidelines

 

On 30 March 2010, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1521 (2003) concerning Liberia adopted revised guidelines for the conduct of its work.  The guidelines were revised to take account of the provisions contained in resolution 1903 (2009), which terminated the arms embargo with regard to the Government of Liberia and imposed an arms embargo with regard to all non-governmental entities and individuals operating in the territory of Liberia.

The revised guidelines will be transmitted to all States for their information and use, as necessary, and will be posted on the Committee’s webpage: http://www.un.org/sc/committees/1521/index.shtml.
