Secretary-General strongly condemns deadly pakistan bombing

The following statement was issued today by the Spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon:

The Secretary-General strongly condemns the bombing today in Lahore, Pakistan, in which some 30 people were reported killed and 250 wounded.  No cause can justify such indiscriminate terrorist violence.

The Secretary-General extends his condolences to the families of the victims and wishes those injured a speedy recovery.  He expresses his solidarity with the Government and people of Pakistan.
