SECRETARY-GENERAL PLEASED AT RELEASE OF TWO HOSTAGES FROM REPUBLIC OF KOREA

 

IN AFGHANISTAN; HOPES FOR RELEASE OF REMAINING HOSTAGES IN COMING DAYS


The following statement was issued today by the Spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon:


The Secretary-General is pleased to note that two hostages from the Republic of Korea have been released in Afghanistan.


He hopes that the remaining Korean, Afghan and German hostages will be released in the coming days.
