SECURITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE AMENDS TALIBAN INDIVIDUALS

SECTION OF ITS CONSOLIDATED LIST

The Al-Qaida and Taliban Sanctions Committee on 3 September 2003 approved numerous amendments to the Taliban section of its consolidated list.  In addition to adding new identifying information and updating the existing information on the individuals on the list, the names of nine individuals were deleted from the list as they were identified as having been duplicated.

The list is updated regularly, on the basis of relevant information provided by Member States and regional organizations.  An updated list is accessible at the Committee’s Web site:  http://www.un.org/Docs/sc/committees/1267/1267ListEng.htm.
