UNFPA Country Support Team for the South Pacific

Dr. Praema Raghavan-Gilbert, CST Adviser on Reproductive Health and Gender, has been appointed as the Chief Technical Adviser in Reproductive Health/Family Planning for the US$14 million UNFPA Project in China.

Dr. Raghavan-Gilbert served as an Adviser in the UNFPA Country Support Team for the South Pacific for sixteen months since February 1998. During that period, her experience and technical knowledge in the field of reproductive health strengthened the capacity of the Team and her specialization in quality of care and services management provided a significant dimension to the technical assistance in reproductive health/family planning and sexual health programmes.

She will take up her new assignment in Beijing, China, as Chief Technical Adviser on 12 July. We wish her success in her challenging posting. Ni Sa Moce, Praema!
