     NOVEMBER-DECEMBER ISSUE OF POPULATION CONFERENCE NEWSLETTER PUBLISHED







     The November-December 1993 issue of the newsletter of the International

Conference on Population and Development -- ICPD 94 -- is now available in

English, French and Spanish.  The Conference will be held in Cairo, from 5 to

13 September next year.



     The issue, the tenth, reports on the 4 and 5 November debate in the

United Nations General Assembly's Second Committee (Economic and Financial)

regarding the draft outline of the final document for the Conference.  Also

covered are two round-table meetings, one on the impact of HIV/AIDS on

population and development, the other on population and development strategies.

There are also reports on:  a meeting of Non-Aligned Movement ministers on

population issues, held in Indonesia; a New Delhi "population summit" of

national scientific academies; and a population round-table in Vienna of four

political party internationals.
