     INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON POPULATION AND DEVELOPMENT

                       5-13 September 1994





MESSAGE FROM EGYPT....



The Arab Republic of Egypt was honoured to be selected by the

United Nations to host the  International Conference on Population

and Development (ICPD) which will be held in Cairo from 5 to 13

September 1994. On behalf of the Government and people of Egypt, I

would like to invite you to participate.



The Conference will be attended by over l80 United Nations member

country representatives and by participants from relevant non-

governmental and private sector organizations from all  parts of

the world. Distinguished guests and United Nations agency

representatives will attend the Conference. 



The Conference will address the important global problems of the

century in the areas of  population and development and the

Government of Egypt is making every effort to ensure  the full

success of this important event. All the necessary facilities have

been prepared for our guests to ensure they will have a fruitful,

comfortable and enjoyable stay.
