Ambreen Fatima Anwar Husain is an intern with the Office of the President of the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, focusing on political issues. She is a graduate of Dr. RML National Law University, India, with a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Honours). Prior to her internship with the Office of the President of the General Assembly, Ambreen worked at an Intellectual Property law firm in India, with a particular focus on trade marks. While pursuing her Bachelor’s course, she interned with the Women’s Rights Cell of Lawyer’s Collective, where she analyzed the trends in judicial announcements relating to the law of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence. While pursuing additional internships in areas varying from intellectual property rights and corporate law to human rights law, she developed her skills in research and writing. Ambreen has a special interest in international humanitarian law, international trade law, patent law and international relations.
