Meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain

The President of the 72nd session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Miroslav Lajčák, met today with H.E. Mr. Alfonso Dastis, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain. They discussed mutual priorities with regard to migration, human rights, conflict prevention and the Sustainable Development Goals.

The President of the General Assembly welcomed Spain’s constructive and important engagement at the United Nations, including on the Women, Peace and Security agenda.

The President of the General Assembly emphasised that the reform of the United Nations Security Council needed a process that Member States could trust.
