Harriet Osias is the Personal Assistant to the President of the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, a position she also served in for the President of the 71st Session.
In her current position, she provides support to the President of the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in the effective carrying-out of his daily activities and manages his schedule.
Before joining the Office of the President of the United Nations General Assembly, Harriet worked for two years with the Secretary-General Climate Change Support Team.
Harriet started working in the United Nations in 1985, in the Press Section of the Department of Public Information, moving on later to the General Legal Division of the Office of Legal Affairs, where she worked as an administrative assistant until 1991. From that year and until 2010, Harriet served in the Executive Office of the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
Harriet also worked for Missions in Switzerland, the former Yugoslavia and Lebanon.
Harriet speaks English and French.
