Press briefing on The Ocean Conference (5-9 June) and announcement about the World Ocean Festival (4 June)
UNITED NATIONS, New York, 10 April 2017 — The President of the United Nations General Assembly, the Commissioner for International Affairs of the Office of the Mayor of New York City and the Founder and CEO of The Global Brain Foundation will convene a joint press briefing on 11 April 2017, from 11:30am to 12:00pm, to deliver an update on the upcoming United Nations Conference to Support the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development, and to announce the inaugural World Ocean Festival, to be hosted by New York City on 4 June.
Remarks will be delivered by the President of the United Nations General Assembly, the Commissioner of the New York City Mayor’s Office for International Affairs and the Founder and CEO of The Global Brain Foundation, followed by Q&A.
