Meeting with Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, H.E. Mr. Ahmed Aboul-Gheit

The President of the UN General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Peter Thomson met today with Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, H.E. Mr. Ahmed Aboul-Gheit. Discussions focused around regional issues, the peace process in the Middle East and the need to press forward the two-state solution. They also shared concern about the situation in Syria and in Yemen.
Mr. Aboul-Gheit also congratulated the President of the General Assembly on yesterday’s successful High Level Meeting to address large movements of refugees and migrants.
